Editorial Policy
Sources
Legal and tax statements are based on primary sources: statutes, city ordinances, and official government or tax-authority pages. Blogs and forums can help us find the primary source, but we don’t cite them as the basis for a legal status.
Checking
A person checks each legal status against the linked source before the page is published. Every page shows the month it was last verified.
Re-Checks
Rules change. Pages older than the review cycle show a “due for a re-check” flag until they are verified again.
Corrections
If you find an error, use the contact form with the page address and the source you are relying on. We correct confirmed errors and update the verified date.
Independence
Affiliate relationships never change a legal status, a calculation or a listing. Sponsored links are labeled the same way everywhere. See Affiliate disclosure.
What We Won’t Publish
- Income guarantees or “passive income” claims.
- Legal conclusions we can’t support with a source.
- City or state pages with no sources.
